This topic is for those who are interested in the wider realms of metal. (Basically those bands that not many people know about)
 
Please dont post bands that people already know, e.g. Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, COB etc.

Way To End - At The Threshold
This is an awesome Black Metal band hailing from  France. The music is nice an calm yet filling in so many ways.
 

 
Dethlehem - War Of Wizards
I have posted this song before on another thread, but this band is great. The sheer awesomeness of this track packs more punch than some other bands mangage to get in whole albums.

Traumatic Voyage
-One of the most obscure bands I know of, and one of the best
-Disturbing lyrics, indescribable vocals, technical at times, doomy at others
-Doomy

-Technical


Vehementer Nos
-Symphonic Black Metal, but Ruthless, melodic, and beautiful
-Extremely progressive


Cadaverous Condition
-Old school Death Metal sound with great production
-1/3 of the songs are neofolk with death growls
-Very hard to find


Infestus
-A band that has slowly become one of my favourite Black Metal bands
-Depressive, yet Merciless and brutal. The atmosphere is amazing.
-Their newest album is glorious

The "rate what the person above you is listening to" the "what are you listening to right now" and any of the lame "Recommend (insert genre here) bands" threads on their respective genre forums all have their fair share of bands that don't receive much recognition in both the mainstream press/population OR the underground. This thread is just an exercise in redundancy.
